Why Employees Stay? What’s Culture got to do with it?!

Azra graduated from Liverpool JMU in European Studies, and obtained her MA in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Staffordshire University. Her first job was in a recruitment agency in London where she worked in the IT recruitment sector. Since then she has worked as a language instructor and project manager for the British Council, and as a English language lecturer at SSST University in Sarajevo. She also heads her own property management and rentals venture in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Currently, Azra holds the position of Chief Culture Officer (CCO) at a fast growing software development company Mistral Technologies in Sarajevo. She started the HR department there over 5 years ago, then moved to Marketing and Communications department which focuses on the brand awareness and employee engagement. As Chief Culture Officer she works to ensure that Mistral continues its purpose of being the most desired place of work. Her interests lie in exploring the possibilities offered by new technologies in all spheres, communication in the digital age, employee engagement and creating opportunities for business and employment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is always happy to share her knowledge and experience, and is a regular guest at various conferences and panels.
